The illustrator Jeanne Detallante designed a beautiful new contemporary interpretation of an old Persian "Garden of Eden". The outcome is truly remarkable—a stunning landscape adorned with exotic flora and fauna, exhibiting an immense spectrum of colors. We are deeply moved by the results and hold this collaboration close to our hearts.
The design circulates in different directions. There is a surface and a depth, a verticality in which the patterns of the different elements are built up. It is a poetic yet realistic, daydream-like vision of nature. Nature observed, transformed into a feeling, transformed into a graphic response. A nature that is not always so calm, where not everything is harmonious but sometimes surprisingly in order. A nature that is not always reassuring, but where you can still find peace. Room for silent admiration. Something that we are a part of and that we are still looking to belong to.
The design seamlessly merges two worlds — traditional Persian themes and motifs are presented in an exceptionally contemporary form and unique style. With its substantial dimensions of 370 x 270, it exudes tremendous power—a burst of color, a revelation, an experience.
Jeanne Detallante, a Parisian illustrator and visual artist based in Brussels, has an impressive portfolio, contributing to brands like Prada, Vogue, American Express, AMI, Diptyque, Miu Miu, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Vanity Fair. Her work navigates the realms of bohemian aesthetics, traversing disturbing yet fascinating dreamscapes while drawing inspiration from the 60s. Her subjects often hail from myths, fairy tales, and high-end fashion, placed against vibrant, abstract, or surreal backgrounds. From sophisticated to grotesque, Jeanne's striking and colorful yet surreal style resonates with the contemporary aesthetic and has been commissioned by clients globally.
In addition to the larger masterpiece, Jeanne Detallante has designed four smaller worlds — Salamander, Elephants, Fishes, and Seaweed — in more compact sizes.
